“Malibu Pier is a Southern California icon in an area once called the Riviera of America,” says State Parks’ Director Ruth Coleman. The historic landmark is located in the heart of California’s surf culture. Surfers from around the world come to Surfrider Beach adjacent to Malibu Pier, known for its three-point break that offers rides of 300 yards or more. The festive seaside atmosphere of good food and fun is returning to the famous pier. New restaurants offering classic seaside dishes complement the pier’s beautiful coastal location and rich history.

Attractions at the Malibu Pier:

Deep Sea Fishing – Sport fishing boat trips depart from the Malibu Pier twice a day. A short boat ride from the pier takes visitors to some of the best fishing grounds for sea bass, halibut and rockfish. You can also enjoy a leisurely day fishing off the Malibu Pier itself. Learn about Malibu Pier Sportfishing.

Malibu Pier Club and the Beachcomber Cafe – The Malibu Pier Club is a classic seaside bar providing casual dining and a tiki bar “Tonga Lei Room.” The Beachcomber Cafe is a 1940’s style American dinner house that offers a vintage Malibu dining atmosphere, menus filled with eclectic coastal dishes and fantastic views of the surf. Coastal Harbor Tours – Malibu’s more than 29 miles of glamorous coastline offers the perfect backdrop for a boat tour with family and friends.
